About the Role
DSB Premier Construction is looking for highly experienced, hands-on construction professionals capable of taking responsibility for an area or package of works while leading and coordinating a small team.
This remains a practical, hands-on position. However, the individual must also be capable of organising work, coordinating workers and trades, maintaining quality standards and taking ownership of delivery without requiring constant supervision.
The successful candidate should be able to lead by example, plan ahead, maintain productivity within their team and ensure assigned works are completed to the required quality and programme
Key Responsibilities
Carry out skilled construction work while leading a small team.
Take responsibility for an assigned area or package of works.
Organise and allocate work to workers or trades.
Coordinate activities to maintain efficient site progress.
Read and understand construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Check workmanship and maintain DSB quality standards.
Monitor progress of the assigned works.
Identify problems, delays or quality concerns and communicate them promptly.
Coordinate effectively with the Site Manager and Project Manager.
Help ensure workers follow agreed site procedures and instructions.
Take ownership of the assigned works through to completion.
Maintain a professional, organised and safety-conscious working environment.
Suitable Experience
The ideal individual should be:
A highly experienced skilled construction professional
Comfortable remaining hands-on
Capable of supervising or coordinating a small team
Able to organise and plan works independently
Confident communicating with site management
Able to maintain high standards without constant supervision
What DSB Offers
- Indicative rate: £225 to £250+ per day
- The final rate will depend on the individual's experience, leadership capability, proven ability to manage a small team, level of responsibility and complexity of the works being delivered.
